Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

The rental was everything as advertised. The location was prime as we rented bikes for our week to get around Charleston. Very quite location and perfect for just the two of us. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to come to Charleston. The host communicated before an dafter our arrival to make sure it al went smoothly. A+ in my book.

This was a great place to stay, close to many great restaurants and bars. Host was very quick to respond when I reached out with questions. It was great to have a place to park nearby as well, although the spot is a little tight if you have a large vehicle. The tub in the bathroom is also in a tight space, and may be difficult for some, but the water pressure was great. We would stay there again!

Great location and stay at Michael’s place! We loved the unique features of the house, especially the rooftop patio, where we enjoyed a lovely sunset and drinks. The whole place was clean with some nice touches sprinkled in, such as mini toiletries and a hair dryer! Just a word to the wise - take great care stepping in/out of the shower! There’s a safety handle, but space is a bit tight and can be challenging for those with short legs! We also utilized the buddy system when walking to and from the designated car space at night, since the parking lot is around the block from the house in a relatively unpopulated back alley. Michael was always super responsive with check-in when we had a question, and throughout the trip just to check in. His messages were very helpful! Thanks to him, we had a wonderful stay in Charleston! Thank you again, Michael!

Had an amazing stay for a long weekend, it was our first time in the city and Michael’s place was a perfect home base. We had a great stay at Michael’s! The location is hard to beat. We were able to walk everywhere with easy access to Uber when it rained. It was nice to have access to an off street parking spot despite not needing the car to get around. It safely sat for several days! The unit itself was clean and as expected. This was the perfect spot for our weekend away in Charleston! It's tucked behind all of the action on King Street - just a short walk away and is surrounded mainly by residential housing, delicious bakeries and other food spots. The two units behind the main house are perfect for a couple and can also accomodate a baby (there are stairs but easily controlled). The rooftop deck is great and gives just the nice view of the surroundings. The area is really nice without the main street bustle and a real neighborhood feel. Excellent overall!

Michael’s place was the perfect spot for a birthday weekend weekend getaway for my wife and I. The location is excellent as you can walk to many local restaurants easily on King St and in the neighborhood. The house itself was cozy and clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
