Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

We had a great stay and John was an extremely responsive host, we had an issue with the key pad on our door and he sent someone over in under an hour! He was always available to us for anything we needed. The house is very close to a lot of great restaurants and bars and great for a large group.

John’s place was great for our large family. The place is beautifully decorated and stocked with anything you would need to make you feel at home. The only negative was the parking. We found that you can only get a full size vehicle in by folding in the mirrors. With a compact car there is plenty of room to park. We also found that the parking deck behind the property allowed us to park for a fee, which prevented the parking to be an issue. I give John’s place 5 stars and would gladly rent it again.

Hi Kyle, glad everything worked out. Offering parking is definitely a privilege in the historic area, and the homes able to offer it do tend to have narrow parking areas. Thanks again!
