Originally built in 1820, this magnificent home was taken all the way down to its studs in an extensive renovation in order to expose its rich history while providing modern day luxuries. You wont find another house quite like this to make your Charleston trip the best it can be!
This is a classic Charleston home made up of two units A&B, this is the listing for Unit A (downstairs unit). The entire unit is yours, so there are no shared spaces except for the driveway area. During the remodel we went to great lengths (open cell spray foam, 1 inch quiet sheetrock and vibration barrier) to ensure the house stays very quiet from one unit to the other so this is not your typical duplex!

Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.
You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Loved how centrally located this place was. Loved the parking situation. Just off King St and quiet for a down town location. Could not have asked for a better location.

We stayed here with 3 adults and 3 kids for fall break. It was a great find and we would recommend it! Some things to note-
Bring ear plugs, your own loud sound machines and eye mask. This is a great location but very noisy. Guests above began walking around early every morning and late into the night and you hear everything outside windows as they are single pane glass and it’s a very busy road directly in front of home. Unit is next door to a store and we were awakened by loud trucks and several things early each morning.
-Front pink bedroom with king bed has 3 windows directly on road and no curtains so room is very noise and bright at all times.
House has some wear and tear. Repairs need to be made on walls in bathrooms and several lightbulbs were out. Iron was missing and there is no broom or vacuum to clean up anything. TV didn’t work for us in bedroom because you have to sign into a Roku account which we don’t have.
Great location for walking to things! Enjoyed our stay!

Absolutely wonderful! I booked this place last minute because we came from out of state to visit family in Greenville! Family decided to take us to the beach near Charleston and we had no where to stay so I decided to look on airbnb. Michael was so friendly and responded so fast and made sure my family and I had a clean place to stay for the night. The place is small but I love how the main part of the house is the kitchen and all the rooms are decent size with FULL BATHROOMS! I loved the showers! So so nice and i would book again if we come to Charleston! ALSO!! I did not realize everything was walking distance! it was so nice to just take a 2-5 minute walk to a gas station, bar, club or finding food near by. It is a busy street and people walk by a lot but definitely did not bother us because we could not hear noise from outside even when there was an outdoor rooftop club a few buildings down. This is the perfect place for privacy and walking distance.

There was 6 people staying in Michael's place and it did not feel crowded. The kitchen island was a great communal gathering place, in addition to the living room. The decor of the place was lovely. It was a short walk to King St, which has a lot of restaurants and shops. To walk to downtown (French Quarter) was about 20 minutes. We enjoyed our stay!

Amazing first floor apartment. Fully furnished and well decorated. Two parking spots. About a 25-30 minute walk to historic Charleston. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. Host was great too!

This place is a gem and we’d definitely consider staying again. It’s walkable to tons of restaurants and we were able to walk to both a concert at the Charleston Music Hall and the aquarium. The host, Michael, is very friendly and responsive. The place is neat and tidy and we appreciated the ample towels and comfortable throw blankets. There was a bit of street noise (which is to be expected in a city). This unit is part of 2 rentals in the same building. Unit A is the ground floor and Unit B is the second floor. The outside space was an added bonus and we enjoyed relaxing out there and playing cards.

Stayed here the night before getting on a cruise. Pier was only about 10 mins away. House was very nicely renovated. Would stay here again!

Great place to stay because you are in walking distance of a lot!! Only had to uber one time and it was very inexpensive. Host was very good with responding quickly when I had a question. Very clean and comfortable!
