Originally built in 1820, this magnificent home was taken all the way down to its studs in an extensive renovation in order to expose its rich history while providing modern day luxuries. You wont find another house quite like this to make your Charleston trip the best it can be!
This is a classic Charleston home made up of two units A&B, this is the listing for Unit B (Upstairs unit). The entire unit is yours, so there are no shared spaces except for the driveway area. During the remodel we went to great lengths (open cell spray foam, 1 inch quiet sheetrock and vibration barrier) to ensure the house stays very quiet from one unit to the other so this is not your typical duplex!

Our Charleston weekend getaway at this Airbnb was a very pleasant experience. We had originally booked at a different location managed by the same group, but they proactively reached out to inform us the air conditioner in our original location was not working and the repair timeline was TBD; this was much appreciated given the forecast for our stay. The central location allowed easy exploration of the city's attractions. The host's responsiveness was impressive, ensuring a smooth check-in and quick assistance throughout our stay. The unique decor added charm to the accommodation. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and we would consider returning in the future.

Michael's place was truly amazing, exactly as pictured and described. The location worked very well, extremely walkable and a very short Uber to anywhere we wanted to go when we didn't want to walk. We stayed there with our three children and I felt the space worked very well for our family, I could also see it working extremely well for a group of friends as the central area was good for entertaining. The beds were very comfortable and everything was extremely clean! As a host I would say Michael is the gold standard, probably the best host I've ever worked with. I look forward to staying here again!

We had a great stay here! The house was the perfect setup and plenty of space for our Family of 5. The stylish decor is fun and just like the pictures in the listing. The location was perfect for us to walk to everything. Restaurants and shopping close by and we even walked all the way down to the French Quarter during our stay. On-site parking was a huge plus and made packing and unpacking a breeze. Love that it is a pup friendly place and we could bring our dog. Michael is a great host and made us feel right at home. We LOVED our stay at this home. Super easy access to bars/restaurants downtown, and gorgeous decor inside. Nice shaded table outside for snacks and drinks. The house was perfect for a girls trip and slept us all very comfortably!!! The host was extremely responsive and helpful 🙂

A great place to stay! The city noise is definitely a bit of a challenge at night, but the sound machines help. Walkable to many different places on King street and lots of interesting little shops nearby! The decor is gorgeous. Very well appointed.

The apartment had a fantastic layout and felt very inviting from the minute was walked in. We loved the layout so much that we want our future apartment to look like that!
The location was fantastic as well, very walkable neighborhood (corner store just down the block, one block away from a liquor store and a coffee shop, and just couple blocks away from King Street).
Six of us stayed at Michael's place and we all loved it and would definitely stay there again!

Wow! What a great find with so much space, a lot of amenities, tons of natural light and it was super clean! The location was spot on and super close to a lot of fun stores and restaurants. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer to enjoy the space, neighborhood and the rest of Charleston!

I hesitate to recommend this too highly as I want to able to book again 😉 However that is selfish & this place is truly special. It is a perfect example of Charleston old world charm combined with a tasteful renovation. Great open concept flow for hanging out together, while being steps to all Charleston has to offer. I read a few other reviews that said it was noisy. My response to that would be you can’t be in a walkable area without downtown noise. It did not keep me up at night. We will be back!
