With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.
You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

A couple blocks from King Street, perfect location! We walked everywhere, bunch of great restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries, ice cream, boutiques, and local shops all within easy walking distance. Rental was we clean, easy access, comfortable stay!

We had a wonderful stay! Central location within a few blocks of King Street's night life. There was some noise over night, but it didn't bother our group. Very clean place and the beds were comfy. Perfect for our girl's trip!

Great place! Within walking distance of everything! The only flaw is the busy street right at the head of the beds but luckily we brought ear plugs. Still a perfect place to stay with everything you could possibly want.

We enjoyed staying in an authentic Charleston single house just blocks away from King Street and an easy walk all the way to the Battery. Comfortable bed and surprisingly good water pressure for a historic home. Definitely recommend.

We had a fabulous time. We were within walking distance of everything. The bus was easy to find and free to take around town. We felt safe staying at the place.
The house was neat and clean. We had easy access to the fans and TV. Being the two of us are about 5’, it was a bit challenging for us to reach the very top shelf for the plates in the kitchen. Otherwise all was great!
We would certainly stay at John’s place again.

This apartment was in pristine condition and met expectations and needs perfectly. It’s in a great location and easily walkable to pretty much everything there is to see/do. The bedroom must not have any insulation bc you can quite literally hear every conversation and car from outside however the room has 2 white noise machines which were life savers!

You cannot go wrong with a place right off King when staying in Charleston… walkable to everything, this spot was exactly what we needed to put our feet up at the end of the day. John was super helpful and responsive and even has an option for storing your luggage before check in and after check out which we found extremely helpful!

John is a very responsive and friendly host. The location is super convenient. There’s a lot of street noise, especially in the bedroom (both from people walking by and vehicles), and the two white noise machines in the bedroom were an indication of that. Was great to be able to bring my dog, but note that there is no green space. Thankfully he’s okay with using dirt for the bathroom, but I know many dogs aren’t as flexible, so worth noting. Overall, the space was great and the proximity to downtown was super walkable! It suited our needs for two nights well.

This was such an incredible stay! The place was so cute and the host was truly incredible — always super-responsive, gave us great recommendations for the area, and so kind!! The shower drain does drain pretty slowly but otherwise, the entire place was so lovely! It was such a perfect location for our vacation, not too touristy but a perfect walking distance to all the fun on King St. and beyond! Such a great place for such a great price!!

Nice accommodations. Everything was clean, comfortable beds. Location is excellent…coffee shop right down the street and plenty of bars and restaurants around the corner! The only critique I could offer would be the lack of a box of tissues anywhere in the house and no ventilation fan in the bathroom! The upstairs is also a rental so you may experience visitors such as ours that came in late one night and sat outside and continued their party until 1am. We had an early flight to catch or we may have joined them . Overall a great little Charleston getaway cottage!
