Indulge in a stay at The Monroe on Spring. An entirely-renovated, Historic Charleston manor circa 1885. No expense was spared in the restoration, intended to exude both rich history and modern extravagance.

Just a brief stroll to the iconic King Street, you are truly in the heart of Downtown. Explore the picturesque streets, shop and dine to your heart’s content, and relax in the evenings on the sprawling Charleston porches.

This is the entire lower level of a historic Charleston home! There are three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and two kitchens. Plus, you'll find plenty of outdoor space to enjoy our beautiful weather or dine al fresco! The bed count is as follows:

The Elliotborough/Cannonborough district of downtown Charleston. With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

We were a group of three older couples and the house was the perfect choice for us. We enjoyed the large communal spaces and also the privacy of each couple having their own bathroom. The home was well-stocked; the kitchen and laundry appliances were excellent; the beds were comfortable; the parking was tight but safe, off the street, and only steps from the door. The home’s overall location is on a quiet side street while also being convenient and walkable to many places to eat. Three members of our group were bothered by an old house / mildew smell that was strongest each time we entered from the outside. The other 3 of us didn’t notice it.

Hi Christine, glad to know that our house was the perfect choice for all of you! Our comfy beds are definitely a guest favorite! Offering parking is definitely a privilege in the historic area, and the homes able to offer it do tend to have narrow parking areas. It is a historic home and we always make sure to upgrade while trying to preserve the historic nature of the home. Thanks for being a great guest. Come back soon!
