The Duncan house was perfect for our visit
The Duncan house was perfect for our visit. The house was easy to find, sparkling clean, comfortable and perfectly located. Our host was responsive and made us feel welcome. Beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. Beautifully designed and decorated. King St is a short walk to shopping, restaurants and bars. We walked to City Market and took the free bus to the Fort Sumter Museum. It rained off and on so we ducked into a couple of places to hang out with the locals. We can’t wait to visit again. Thank you for hosting us.
The Airbnb was as described
The Airbnb was as described. Very well appointed and nicely decorated. It was spotless. Plenty of room for our family of five. The area, Cannonsborough has so many small, quaint restaurants and bars. Beautiful old Charlestonian architecture everywhere. Very safe area to walk. Also only one block from King Street where are all the action is. Communication with the host is very easy if needed. You also get a parking spot right next to the house. They are doing some construction on Phillip which also occurs on Saturday morning, but we were already up and ready to go. There is also a great breakfast/coffee spot, at the end of the driveway too, Island Provisions.
I cannot say enough positive things about The Duncan House and our host
I cannot say enough positive things about The Duncan House and our host. The location is perfect — an easy walk to restaurants, bars and shopping on King Street as well as a short walk to the College of Charleston. Notwithstanding the close proximity to most everything we wanted to do — the house is still very private and tranquil as it’s located in a small courtyard set back from the main road. The house is well maintained, beautifully decorated yet comfortable, absolutely spotless and well-appointed. There are three floors and two porches giving everyone in our traveling party space of his/her own. Our host was a great communicator and responded quickly to our questions (in less than 5 minutes.. no matter the time of the day). Parking is right outside the door and definitely an added bonus. We visit Charleston regularly and have typically stayed at hotels. The Duncan house will absolutely be our go to spot going forward ! I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you !
We really enjoyed our stay at the house
We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It is in a great location, walking distance to restaurants and King street. There was a lovely coffee shop right in front of the house, which was very convenient. It was plenty of space for our family of four.

Das Haus ist wie beschrieben
Das Haus ist wie beschrieben, sehr gut ausgestattet, sauber, geräumig und die Lage ist gut, um Charleston zu Fuß zu erkunden. Das Haus ist allerdings recht hellhörig und als wir dort waren gab es leider nebenan eine Baustelle, die sehr laut war und die Wände zum wackeln brachte und über die wir im Vorfeld nicht informiert wurden.

Beautifully appointed, wonderfully maintained, super comfortable free standing home that offers everything you could hope for! Walkable to great shopping, excellent dining and many attractions Charleston is known for. Steps from Island Provisions market for coffee, wine and light groceries. Off street parking completes the package. Highly recommend this place!
This home is so charming
This home is so charming. You pull into a small courtyard with paver stones and a fountain and mood lighting that really sets the mood. The location is walking distance to so many great restaurants! Highly recommend!
