Great stay! Clean place, just a bit noisy right now due to nearby construction!

Unfortunately we ended up cutting our stay short at this rental and only stayed one night. We booked based on the description that it was family-friendly, but that was not our experience. It seems clear the unit has been used frequently for party weekends — the furniture is quite worn and the couch felt noticeably dirty.
We also ran into an issue with palmetto bugs (which are related to cockroaches if you look them up). To be fair, the host did offer to send someone out to address the bugs and help clean, and we appreciated the quick response.
Our biggest issue, however, was the noise. The unit sits on a very busy corner and it was unbearable to sleep. After the late foot traffic and car noise finally slowed down, there was construction activity, followed by garbage trucks around 5am. The listing mentions “some” noise, but this felt highly understated. I would not recommend this place for anyone who is sensitive to nighttime noise.

perfect location! King street just two blocks away and amazing restaurants within 5 minute walk. Parking spot was a nice addition. This space has some great Charleston character and would stay again.

Our group of 6 had a great stay over a long weekend. The check-in instructions were clear, home was clean with fresh linens and toiletries, and check-out steps were easy and not burdensome for an early departure. The host was very communicative and responsive. Location was very walkable and close to the free bus system. Agree with prior reviews that it can be loud outside into the late evening/early morning due to proximity to bars. Overall, good stay for a large group!
