Aaron, a Charleston resident since 2006, moved to the Lowcountry to attend the College of Charleston, earning a degree in Business Administration and Entrepreneurship. After starting his career in commercial real estate, he followed his passion for hospitality by earning a degree in Hotel Management and has since thrived in the industry, enhancing guest experiences and driving operational success. A devoted family man, he enjoys life with his wife, two daughters, and their dogs, Pinot and Riesling. His love for travel, golf, tennis, and wine fuels his active lifestyle, and he can often be found exploring new destinations or dining at local favorites like Lost Dog Cafe, 167 Raw, and Rancho Lewis. Aaron’s career reflects his commitment to excellence, blending business acumen with a deep understanding of hospitality. His leadership fosters personalized service, operational efficiency, and strong community ties, making a lasting impact on Charleston’s hospitality landscape.

Originally from Georgia, John studied Finance at the University of Georgia before moving to Charleston in 2011 to pursue real estate. Over the past 15 years, he has built both a career and a family here, with a love of hosting that led him into the vacation rental market. As a co-founder of YOURPAD, John values strong relationships with owners and guests alike, continually refining systems to deliver exceptional experiences.

He lives near Shem Creek with his wife, two kids, and their dog, and enjoys Charleston’s blend of community and energy—whether dining out, spending time on the water, or staying active. When he can, John heads to the ski slopes of British Columbia or the river with a fly rod. As Anthony Bourdain once said, “Travel is not a reward for working, it’s education for living.” That’s a spirit I try to carry with me in both business and life.

David Betts is a co-founder and partner at YOURPAD, where he oversees finance, development, and business strategy. Since its founding in Charleston, he has helped grow YOURPAD into one of the region’s leading vacation rental management companies, with more than 200 properties under management and a reputation for exceptional guest experiences, strong owner performance, and high-quality renovations.

A graduate of the College of Charleston with a degree in Business Administration and a concentration in finance and real estate, David has built his career at the intersection of hospitality and development. He lives in Charleston with his wife, Alyssa, and their son, Teddy, and enjoys golf, time on the water, and traveling with family.

Scott grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia and earned his degree in Hospitality Management from Penn State University. With a lifelong passion for customer service, he built his career in property management, food and beverage, and hotels before founding YOURPAD. He now lives in Charleston’s Wagener Terrace neighborhood with his wife, young son, and their pup.

Maggie, a Charleston native, earned her degree in Travel and Tourism from Clemson University and spent a year working in hospitality in Australia before returning to the Lowcountry. She began her career as a travel agent, planning full-service trips worldwide, and now brings her insider knowledge and hospitality expertise to the YOURPAD team to help guests make the most of their stay. Passionate about travel, exploring new cultures, and sharing her hometown’s charm, she enjoys boating, relaxing on the beach, and spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog, Finn. Maggie’s local favorites include catching a beach sunset, cruising the harbor, enjoying cocktails at the Citrus Club, dining at Vern’s, and grabbing coffee and pastries from Welton’s Tiny Bakeshop.

Haley McKee moved to South Carolina in 2012 to attend Coastal Carolina University, earning a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Resort Tourism Management. She began her career in Charleston in Real Estate and Property Management, gaining expertise in everything from historic homes to new construction and building a deep understanding of the hospitality industry. Haley loves exploring new culinary experiences, playing soccer with the local women’s league, and visiting farmers markets. She’s also the proud owner of two spunky Siamese cats and is excited to be marrying her fiancé in the fall of 2025.

Preston began his hospitality career while attending Charleston Southern University, earning his degree in Economics in 2001. During his master’s studies at Florida State University, he joined Hilton Worldwide and discovered his passion for Revenue Management—a path that would take him across multiple destinations in the Southeast with both Hilton and InterContinental Hotels Group.

Outside of work, Preston and his wife, Michell, are active in the local animal rescue community. Their home is often filled with foster kittens from Dorchester Paws, each waiting for the perfect forever family.

After earning her degree in International Business and Spanish from the College of Charleston in 2015, Ashley built a successful corporate marketing career while traveling the world. She later transitioned into the vacation rental industry, serving as Head of Global Marketing for one of the largest U.S. property management companies before launching her own portfolio of rentals in domestic and international markets. With deep industry expertise, she’s passionate about creating memorable guest experiences through trusted, standout brands. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys hiking, skiing, spending time on the water, and being with her family and bernedoodle, Kala. Her local favorites include Xao Biscuit, Felix, Chubby Fish, and Chico Feos.

Summer began her career running a successful residential housekeeping business before moving into vacation rental housekeeping on Kiawah and Seabrook Islands. Her attention to detail and dedication led her into management, overseeing properties from Kiawah to Folly Beach, and in 2023 she joined YOURPAD, quickly advancing to Housekeeping Manager.

Passionate about the outdoors, she enjoys fishing, camping, and spending time with her large family, including her eight younger siblings and her new role as an aunt. She also has a talent for staging homes for photos, which she jokingly calls her “lame” superpower. Summer’s local favorites include coffee from Daniela’s, the Cardi B buffalo chicken sandwich at Brown Dog Deli, and the bagels at Spread’s.
