We normally stay on or near King St or the French Quarter
We normally stay on or near King St or the French Quarter. We liked how the home was tucked away off the street. It was nicely updated, light and coastal. The location was near MUSC and walkable to shop/dine. The house was great, we loved the kitchen and porches. Bonus being so close to Da Toscana Porchetta Shop & Brown Dog Deli. Responsive host.

Lovely standalone house in a “quad” setting
Lovely standalone house in a “quad” setting. It was practically spotless and smelled clean! We were a smallish group with only 4 adults but house can easily accommodate 8-10. Walkable to key areas but note that when extremely hot as when we stayed, an Uber is a great and very reasonable option. They allow pets (with an extra charge) and have onsite parking for two vehicles which is rare…they need to be smaller vehicles. Only con is that there is a loud humming noise from some sort of machinery from a neighboring building (could be the hospital ) that can be annoying but the location is still worth it. Overall we were extremely pleased with the house, location and a very responsive host. We would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay. The place is spacious and comfortable. We liked the location as it is close to the Medical University of South Carolina.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Airbnb in the heart of downtown Charleston! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The historic charm of the space was perfectly balanced with modern amenities—cozy beds, great AC (a must in the summer!), and a fully stocked kitchen that made mornings super easy.
The location truly couldn’t be better. We were within walking distance to King Street, the waterfront, amazing restaurants, cute coffee shops, and all the charm Charleston has to offer. It was so nice to explore the city on foot and then come back to such a peaceful, private space.
The host was communicative and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Check-in was seamless, and the recommendations they shared for local eats and sights were spot-on.
I can’t recommend this place enough. We’ll definitely be back
