It’s a wonderful old house with tastefully done updates, leaving the old world charm
It’s a wonderful old house with tastefully done updates, leaving the old world charm. The bathrooms are top notch, very luxurious, and we loved the cotton bathrobes. The coffee bar and wine bar were a fantastic bonus! Sarah, the housekeeper, is super friendly and helpful, and as a local has great recommendations. This is a very safe neighborhood right across from the water with beautiful marsh views from the back porch. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance. We mainly drove out to the waterfront park area where they offer free parking. Hunting Island beach is a 22 minute drive and Sands Beach in Port Royal (not the Atlantic Ocean, but a beautiful estuary) is about 15 mins away. Such a beautiful area and stay— we loved it. We will be back!

We loved our stay here
We loved our stay here! It made our trip to the beautiful, historic town of Beaufort feel complete to stay in such a historic inn. The room was spacious and so clean, that updated bathroom was also very nice.
We were a two minute walk from a cute breakfast cafe, Magnolia Cafe, and about a ten minute walk to the Beaufort staple restaurant, Old Bull Tavern. Great location, we’d stay here again.
