Getting around Georgetown is easy, relaxed, and full of Lowcountry charm. The historic downtown is best explored on foot, just stroll along the Harborwalk to admire waterfront views, boutique shops, and local seafood restaurants. For longer trips, driving is the most convenient way to reach nearby beaches, plantations, and scenic marshland trails.

Public parking is plentiful and free throughout most of the downtown area. Golf carts are a fun local favorite for short rides, while bike rentals offer a breezy way to explore the quiet streets and shaded live oaks. If you’re heading to Pawleys Island or Murrells Inlet, you’ll find it’s just a short, scenic drive along Highway 17.

Whether you’re cruising through the marina, biking to the farmers market, or taking a day trip up the coast, Georgetown’s laid-back pace makes every journey part of the adventure.

Loved loved this place

Joi Quinessa

Loved loved this place. I wish you could upload pics as a part of reviews because the views were so nice. The place was well stocked. We grilled at the pavilion and BBQ tools were provided. There is a nice little beach about 10 minutes up the road. Everything made for a nice relaxing weekend get away. We will be back for sure.

This place was perfect, I wish we could of stayed longer

Kat Powell

This place was perfect, I wish we could of stayed longer! Such a great design concept. Amenities were just as described and the whole complex was spotless, just like the house!

The home was beautifully decorated and meticulously clean

Jody Ziegler

The home was beautifully decorated and meticulously clean. The furnishings are high quality and we found everything we needed for our short stay. The host group was proactive in all of its communication and we truly felt welcomed. The location made for easy trips back and forth to Pawleys during our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here

Lacee Willoughby

We absolutely loved our stay here! We made a day of decision to head to Georgetown/pawleys island and were lucky enough to stay here for the weekend. We arrived to a very clean beautiful space and really enjoyed it. The hosts were so quick to answer any questions and made the check in/out so easy. There’s lots of water front restaurants a mile or so away so it was easy to jump into the car and be at dinner in 5 minutes. We are already talking about coming back to stay again!

Nice and conveniently located

We had an incredible stay at Winyah Bay Club

Chelsea Harrison

We had an incredible stay at Winyah Bay Club! We arrived by boat, and everything was set up perfectly for a seamless waterfront experience. The boat slips were convenient and well-maintained, making it easy to come and go on the water. The accommodations were beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location is hard to beat—peaceful waterfront views while still being just minutes from historic Georgetown. Whether you're coming by land or by boat, Winyah Bay Club is the perfect Lowcountry escape. We can't wait to come back!

We had a great stay!

We had a great time at WBC

Kim Hitchcock

We had a great time at WBC. The house was beautiful and the view was beautiful. Our plans changed last minute and we ended up driving into Georgetown instead of taking our boat, but the docking amenities were excellent. We would definitely stay again!

The place was incredible

Allyson Blackwell

The place was incredible! Everything was fantastic except the “ad” showed a pic of the villa we were renting which was in front on Winyah Bay When we arrived, we were assigned a villa tucked behind 2 villas that were up front so our view was looking between the sides of 2 villas in front of us. Not what we expected and not as the ad showed. With that said, the place was really nice and we would stay again but we would clarify which “actual” villa we were paying for.
