The place was clean and generally comfortable, and communication with the host was good. It’s a historic home, so expect the space to reflect that character—we went into the stay anticipating this and were excited about the close proximity to King Street. The neighborhood itself was great and felt safe, though weekday traffic is fairly heavy; weekends were much quieter. Unfortunately, one night the heat stopped working in the lower level of the rental. When we notified the host, we were told someone would be able to look at it after our stay. We asked if a space heater could be provided, especially since one of the rooms was occupied by an infant, but were told no one was able to come downtown on a Saturday night. As a result, the issue wasn’t addressed during our stay, and we woke up to a thermostat reading 59 degrees. Overall, it was an okay experience and the rental company’s response/fix (or lack of) is something future guests should be aware of.

Great house for large groups

Great house for large groups!

Jade's place was able to fit our big group of 13 very well because it's split into 2 units, 1 downstairs and another 1 upstairs. The house had character and fit in well with the other buildings in the historic district of Charleston. We were able to walk -- or do a quick drive -- to all the sights, shops, and restaurants within the city and its surrounding suburbs. Jade's place allowed us to maximize and fully enjoy our short 3-day visit to the city.

Great location, but the pictures didn't match the home. The rooms looked to be renovated, but were in need of repairs. The floors were slanted inside and even more so on the porches. The steps were treacherous, especially in the rain, which made it difficult for our group of ladies who were celebrating 70th birthdays. The home is listed as a six bedroom home, but is actually a duplex ( three bedrooms upstairs and three bedrooms downstairs) with no inside entry between the two floors. The home was very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the linens were good. Check-in and check-out were very easy; and the host stored our luggage at the office as needed. The host was very friendly and very responsive to our needs.

Stayed here for three nights and enjoyed the accessibility to all that Charleston has to offer. Walked to plenty of fine dining in the neighborhood, including Southbound, The Grocery, and Fuel. There is a Publix that is a five-minute drive away. Uber's to downtown (market & King) were about 12 mins long and approx $8-10. There are plenty of people walking around the neighborhood, so it doesn't feel eery or anything. Some college students walking home later on in the night, from the establishments on King St. I would presume, but not obnoxious or anything like that. The house was super clean, easy to find, and had enough dishes and towels. The beds were SO comfortable and there were plenty of pillows, too! Communication was great and responsive.

We enjoyed our visit to the house. It gave us an opportunity to bond and connect! Had not been together since we left college in 1982
