Beautiful unit in a great location
Beautiful unit in a great location! Despite being close to everything, it was much quieter than we expected. We especially loved the complimentary bikes; a fantastic perk!
That said, there are a few areas that need improvement. The units are clearly designed for larger groups but only include one parking space, creating extra cost and logistical challenges. The kitchen is oddly stocked with items like a branded charcuterie board but lacks basic essentials such as a mixing bowl. Also, one entrance from the parking area opens directly into a bedroom, which is an unusual layout.
Our biggest issue was the AC. When we arrived, the upstairs patio doors had been left open, making the unit extremely hot. The host was very responsive and helped us get the doors shut properly, but even afterward the AC struggled to cool the space efficiently.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. While The Charlie has a lot of potential it could use a few improvements.

The Charlee was nicely decorated and extremely clean
The Charlee was nicely decorated and extremely clean. Exactly as described & matched the pictures. Check-in and out were very easy. Location was great with on-site parking. Just a note (although it in no way impacted enjoying our stay) parking is very tight for large vehicles. The AirBnb was well stocked with essentials and management was very responsive. Loved that each bedroom had it's own bathroom. Beds and linens were very comfortable. Only issue was the attic bedroom only has one small a/c vent under a piece of furniture so that room stayed extremely warm. Thankfully, there were only 4 of us so we were able to utilize the other rooms so no one stayed in that 3rd floor bedroom.

The Airbnb was so cute and perfect for our bachelorette group. Host was responsive and helpful during the whole trip. The location is great-right next to King Street where plenty of shops/restaurants are. If we had to Uber anywhere it was only about a 7-10 minute ride and super affordable.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at The Charlee! We had 14 guests spanning multiple generations, from young children to grandparents, and the house accommodated all of us comfortably.
The home was spotless when we arrived, check-in and check-out were incredibly easy, and every bed was cozy and comfortable. The layout gave everyone plenty of space to gather together while still allowing room to spread out and relax. It was clear that a lot of thought went into making guests feel welcome and cared for.
One thing that may sound small but made a big difference with a group our size—we never ran out of essentials! Everything was well stocked, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived.
The location was fantastic, communication was excellent, and the house served as the perfect home base for our Charleston vacation. We made wonderful memories here and would not hesitate to stay again. In fact, if we return to Charleston with a large group, The Charlee will be our first choice!!
We loved the location
We loved the location! So convenient for walking to King Street and The Battery. The bikes were great! The place was very clean upon arrival. Beds were comfortable. The main issue we had was with the kitchen not being fully stocked. The kitchen is not set up for a family wanting to cook. We had a leak in the bathroom ceiling on a rainy day but they sent someone to take care of that. There were a few other minor maintenance issues - I think the place just needs a little more attention to detail - but we would stay again because of the location and how clean it was!
