We had a great stay at The Charlee
We had a great stay at The Charlee. Check in was at 4 and we were there right away, cleaning was just finishing - they did a great job. It was a great space to share with older parents (elevator access) as well as room to play for our toddler). The unit we had faced the back rather than the front so it only had a view of the alley but the city skyline with church steeples was beautiful off of the end - very picturesque. We drive a Suburban, so just be aware it’s a little tight on turns to get to the parking lot behind, but definitely doable!

Our stay at The Charlee excesses expectations. A very nice and cozy unit that is convenient to coffee shops and eateries. Loved having access to bikes. Would definitely recommend.

The Charlee is a beautiful, clean, and spacious property, but our experience left us disappointed
The Charlee is a beautiful, clean, and spacious property, but our experience left us disappointed. The biggest issue happened around 5 a.m. on our first night when the fire alarm in our unit went off with an incredibly loud siren for about 15 minutes. We had four children with us, and everyone woke up in a panic thinking there was a fire. It was difficult getting everyone back to sleep, and it affected our plans the next day. Management replaced the batteries, but it was a stressful way to begin our vacation. The other issue was the temperature. The thermostat couldn't be lowered, there were no fans in the bedrooms, and everyone in our group commented on how warm and stuffy it felt at night, making it difficult to sleep. Parking is limited to one space, as stated in the listing, so larger groups should expect additional parking costs. While the property itself is lovely, we were disappointed by the lack of follow-up after the alarm incident and wouldn't stay here again.

We really enjoyed staying at Charlieés during our vacation in Charleston. When we arrived, we experienced a few minor issues, but they were resolved in less than 48 hours. We truly appreciated how quickly and professionally everything was handled.
The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and in a great location, making it the perfect place to enjoy Charleston. Based on our experience, we can highly recommend staying here.
We will definitely be back on our next trip to Charleston!

We loved staying at the Charlee! Our unit was exactly as described and very comfortable. The neighborhood is safe and you’re minutes away from all the highlights of Charleston. There’s a bagel shop, a breakfast/smoothie place and a few other places in easy walking distance and it seems like a restaurant is in the works for the ground floor of the Charlee. We would definitely book this place again!
