With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

Unfortunately we ended up cutting our stay short at this rental and only stayed one night. We booked based on the description that it was family-friendly, but that was not our experience. It seems clear the unit has been used frequently for party weekends — the furniture is quite worn and the couch felt noticeably dirty. We also ran into an issue with palmetto bugs (which are related to cockroaches if you look them up). To be fair, the host did offer to send someone out to address the bugs and help clean, and we appreciated the quick response. Our biggest issue, however, was the noise. The unit sits on a very busy corner and it was unbearable to sleep. After the late foot traffic and car noise finally slowed down, there was construction activity, followed by garbage trucks around 5am. The listing mentions “some” noise, but this felt highly understated. I would not recommend this place for anyone who is sensitive to nighttime noise.
