Neighborhood

The neighborhood is very quiet and one of the most peaceful streets on the island yet only a 5-minute walk to the beach. The IOP recreational department with free tennis courts, basketball courts, a soccer pitch, a big kids playground and a dog park is. short walk away. There is a Harris Teeter grocery store, lots of restaurants and a handful of shops on the island as well as Wild Dunes Resort with two golf courses, the Marina and boat ramp. Sullivans Island is just a 10 minute drive with Fort Moultrie and great restaurants. Take the connector over to Mount Pleasant for a stroll on Pitt Street Bridge and amazing views of the Charleston Harbor and Inter-coastal waterway. Paddle board with Dolphins at Shem Creek or head on over the Cooper River bridge for historical walking tours, carriage rides, local markets, boutique shopping and all the amazing restaurants on offer in downtown Charleston.

Great spot, everything we needed for two families! Would recommend for a small group, likely no bigger than two families as the adult rooms are upstairs and kid rooms downstairs. The beach is a little bit of a walk as expected so pack a wagon if you’re going with small kids. We went in August which is super hot, and the pool was the perfect activity to cool off after activities. Overall we really liked the space!

We loved the lush surroundings of the backyard, and although the home is in a neighborhood it did feel quite private. Would recommend for a large group.

We had a wonderful 2 night stay. We got their earlier than the house was ready and they had no problem with us leaving the car and take a short walk to the beach to play in the ocean until check-in time. It was a peaceful neighborhood. The pool was ice cold but the kids wanted to live in it. The house was great. Perfect for a family or a few friends to get together. My only complaint is I wish we could have stayed longer. :) Next summer!
