The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.

Walking around is one of the joys of visiting Charleston, many restaurants and attractions are within walking distance. The more historic areas are easy to get to via Uber or Lyft or CARTA buses, which have a stop two driveways away. For those that are more adventurous, bike rentals are available through Holy Spokes (make sure to follow the rules of the road).

The apartment is in a great location, super walkable to lots of restaurants and bars. It’s a little smaller than the photos make it look but we weren’t spending much time there so it was fine. The hosts are very responsive and had a pack n play at the house upon request. The bathroom is very old; it wasn’t totally clean and there’s mold around the air vent. I know houses are old in Charleston so it wasn’t a huge deal but it did surprise me from the photos. Also the hosts are unable to let you store a suitcase there past 10am check-in. We found that quite annoying. Overall since Airbnb’s are quite expensive there, it was a good deal and really the location was most important to us.

We had a great stay! The building is in an ideal location if you're looking to explore on foot, there are so many restaurants and things in the neighborhood. One thing to note there- there is virtually no parking in the area if you aren't a resident- so the walking, while lovely, is also necessary- though with most of what we wanted to do so close by, the parking thing didn't disrupt our trip much. (Huge highlight for the listing- you get a dedicated off street parking spot!) One other thing to note is this particular unit is a second story walk up so be prepared for stairs. It's an old building with a lot of character, and overall was exactly what we needed!
