With its friendly neighbors, cozy restaurants, and tree lined streets, our neighborhood will immerse you in Charleston’s classic charm. This house is perfect for a family or group seeking a fun, culinary and cultural vacation. Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.
You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.

Nice place and great location with a good price. Owner was very helpful and we were able to store our luggage for some of those in the group that were leaving after checkout. The beds were very clean and comfortable! Tighter squeeze in the bunk room than we were hoping for. If you are planning on using the fifth bed in there, it will be tight! Otherwise, the stay was great.

Stayed here for a weekend trip with several others. The house is it appears, true to the photos. This unit is the upper unit of the house. There were others staying on the bottom floor, but rarely did we even notice they were there. YourPad was very responsive, and even proactive - they sent us a digital flyer with recommendations of all sorts, in several parts of town. Some other reviews mentioned right parking, but we had multiple trucks in the spaces and had no issues (primary parking was in a lot just two or three houses down).
The immediate area seemed very safe, even into the late hours of the night.
The property is in a pretty quiet neighborhood with several restaurants and coffee shops within a couple of blocks. Within walking distance to King Street, and a short drive to many of the local attractions (Fort Sumter tour, the aquarium, local parks, etc.).

John was a fantastic host! We booked the trip a few months in advance and he was communicative and charismatic throughout. Provided great recommendations of things to do and restaurants to eat in the area. Airbnb was clean and the beds were comfortable. There were ACs in the rooms so it was never too hot. Would definitely stay here again!

Johns place was perfect for my friends bachelorette party. It was walkable distance to a lot of restaurants, bars and shopping. We had plenty of space for our group of 8 and the place was so cute! The beds were super comfy. He was even helpful when we had flight leaving later than checkout and helped with our bags. We will definitely book this place again when we come back!
